Things might be getting a little heated in the Philadelphia Eagles’ locker room following A.J. Brown’s post-game remarks after the game against the Panthers. When asked what he believes the offense needs to improve on, Brown’s response was brief and direct: “Passing,” he said. The comment caught the sports world by surprise, especially given Brown’s close friendship with Jalen Hurts off the field. To many, it seemed as though Brown, the Eagles’ star wide receiver, was throwing Hurts, the team’s quarterback, under the bus.

To make matters worse, veteran teammate Brandon Graham added fuel to the fire during an appearance on the radio show 94 WIP, where he shared his perspective on the situation. “I know 1 is trying. And I mean, 11 could be a little better with how he responds to things,” Graham said, implying that while Hurts is putting in his best efforts, Brown needs to manage his emotions better.

Many fans believe Graham should have kept his thoughts private, as rumors of a beef between Hurts and Brown were unproven. However, his comments seemed to confirm the speculation. “They were friends before this, but things have changed,” Graham added, making it clear that the dynamic between Hurts and Brown is no longer as harmonious as it once was—especially coming from a current teammate.

With all of this locker room drama, you might think the Eagles are a team struggling to find their footing. In reality, they are sitting at the top of their division and are considered one of the top three teams in the NFC. When Hurts was asked about how he balances distributing the ball to his teammates, his response was measured: “I play my role in how we execute, but ultimately it’s about what position we put ourselves in. It’s not my choice,” Hurts said.

His statement reflects his focus on teamwork and executing the game plan rather than individual dynamics. Despite the apparent tension, the Eagles continue to perform at an elite level, demonstrating their ability to rise above distractions and maintain their position as one of the league’s top contenders.
