With the Super Bowl around the corner, you would think that’s the only news shaking up the NFL right now. However, trade rumors involving elite superstar players are dominating headlines.
Since the Cleveland Browns’ season finale, speculation has been swirling about Myles Garrett’s future with the team. The star defensive end was visibly frustrated with the outcome of the Browns’ season and did not hold back in expressing his disappointment.
“It’s probably a more disappointing season because of what we expected out of ourselves,” Garrett said.
On Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, Garrett officially requested a trade from the organization. The former Defensive Player of the Year made it clear after the season that he wanted to see signs the Browns were committed to contending for a championship. Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show on Wednesday, Garrett stated, “I just want to go to a contender.”
Despite his request, the Browns have insisted they will not trade their defensive cornerstone. Garrett, in turn, has refused to comment on what his next move will be if the team maintains its stance.
Meanwhile, on the West Coast, the Los Angeles Rams have made a major decision regarding one of their offensive stars. The team informed former All-Pro wide receiver Cooper Kupp that they will seek to trade him immediately. Kupp, now 31 years old, has struggled with injuries, missing a total of 18 games since 2022. However, even through setbacks, he has remained productive, tallying at least 700 receiving yards and five touchdowns in each of the last three seasons.
Kupp took to social media to express his disappointment with the team’s decision. “I don’t agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in L.A.,” he wrote. “There are so many things that are out of your control.”
With Garrett seeking a championship-caliber team and Kupp being shopped around by the Rams, the NFL offseason is already heating up. Where do you think these stars should go next?
